On August 8th, the Gravel Loop arrives again in Itabirito for a stage that promises to bring together everything that makes gravel so special: dirt roads, unforgettable landscapes, physical challenge, spirit of adventure and a lot of connection between people passionate about pedaling.

The start and finish will take place at the well-known CTA Arjon, which will once again receive the entire structure of the event. But this time the route follows different routes from the first stage.

The exit will be controlled to the traditional Pantanal Road, from where the athletes will head towards Acuruí, facing the first challenges of the day. Next, the route has a strong descent and goes up towards the Christ, offering privileged views of the region before heading towards Rio Acima for those in the full distance.

From there, the immersion in one of the most impressive scenarios in Minas Gerais begins.

The athletes will enter the Serra do Gandarela region, passing through remote roads, preserved landscapes and iconic points such as the Gandarela Viewpoint, the vicinity of the Viana Waterfall and the Chicadona Waterfall region. After that, the route takes on its more classic side, with miles and miles of gravel perfect roads until the return to CTA Arjon, passing through the Maracujá region.

There will be two route options:

Gravel Full
• Approximately 66 km
• About 1,850 m of elevation
gain • Estimated time between 3h30 and 5h of Gravel Half
race

• Approximately 40km with 1,000m of elevation
gain • Estimated time between 2h and 3h30 of race

As in all stages of the Gravel Loop, athletes will have:
• Electronic timing and control points;
• Liquidz hydration points;
• Feeding support along the route;
• Medical structure of Mater Dei and rescue of remote areas of the Nerea team;
• Signage and operation specialized in outdoor

events And when the race is over, the experience continues.

The CTA Arjon arena will once again receive the entire structure of coexistence with gastronomy, drinks, music and the traditional review atmosphere that has already become a trademark of the Gravel Loop.

And because the Gravel Loop is a family-friendly event, we'll also have attractions dedicated to children, allowing athletes, family and friends to enjoy a full day of sport, nature and fun together.

New roads. New landscapes. New challenges.

Come to gravel. Come to the Gravel Loop.
