Distances: 700 miles
Difficulty: Extreme terrain with frequent steep hills and long sustained climb

The Big Sky Spectaculaire starts and finishes in Bozeman, located in southwest Montana. It is a single stage, self-supported competitive adventure bicycle ride around Southwest and Central Montana.

The 2027 edition is 700 +/- miles in length on mixed surfaces with 18 segments of gravel and some 2-track totaling ~380 miles. Parts of the route are the ACA Lewis and Clark Bike Route, the Tour Divide and the Bitterroot Connector route developed by Bikepacking Roots.

The route crosses the Continental Divide twice, at Champion Pass (elev. 7045') and Rogers Pass (elev. 5610'). Between these passes and throughout the route are numerous scenic valleys and divides providing wonderful vistas.

The route ventures into Montana’s agricultural (wheat and barley) heartland, the Golden Triangle. There are approximately 15 hours of time bonuses that may be collected to take off your finish time or offset penalties assessed.
